First conference of arab expatriate scientists: QFIRST 2007

Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al-Missned, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Sciences and Community Development, the First Conference for Expatriate Arab Scientists, QFIRST 2007 will take place at the Doha Sheraton Hotel, Qatar from 10-12 December, 2007.

QFIRST 2007 brings together leading Arab Expatriate Scientists (AES) and Qatari scientists and decision makers to enhance the national research vision of Qatar.
Message from the QFIRST 2007 Executive Committee:

Across the world Arab scientists are contributing to the progress of mankind. It is our aim to tap that ingenuity and talent for the benefit of the Arab world as a whole and to foster partnerships between scientists in the region and our compatriots across the world.

We hope during the course of these three days that many more Arab expatriate scientists will be inspired to join us in our mission. We also hope that new opportunities for research and development will issue from the connections made at QFIRST 2007 and we will move one step closer to our shared goal of sustainable development.
